Mission

Connect Legal fosters entrepreneurship in the immigrant community by providing legal educational services and pro bono (free) commercial legal assistance to low-resource immigrant entrepreneurs. In this way, Connect Legal seeks to advance the integration of new immigrants into the economy for the benefit and prosperity of all Ontarians. Concurrently, Connect Legal provides an opportunity for commercial lawyers to give back to the community by sharing their expertise and providing pro bono legal services.

About Us

Connect Legal recognizes that Ontario is home to a large number of talented and hard working immigrant entrepreneurs, some of whom have limited financial resources, language barriers and unfamiliarity with the legal system. These hardworking entrepreneurs may have difficulty accessing business-related supports, including legal services. Connect Legal helps newcomers succeed by providing commercial legal education and assistance to those with viable businesses who are unable to afford legal help and who have been in Canada for less than ten years. By helping newcomer entrepreneurs to succeed, Connect Legal seeks to contribute to the overall economic prosperity of the community.
